16. Glaciodynamics, Deglacial Landforms and Isostatic Uplift during the last Deglaciation of Norrbotten, Sweden
Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to reconstruct the glaciodynamics, deglacial landforms, isostatic uplift and to date the deglaciation. Glaciodynamics and deglacial landforms were focused on to provide a process and depositional model for De Geer moraine and Niemisel moraine and to reveal their internal and spatial relationship, based on detailed sedimentological and structural investigations. 17. Early Campanian mosasaurs (Reptilia; Mosasauridae) from the Kristianstad Basin, southern Sweden
Sammanfattning : Marine strata of latest early Campanian age (sensu germanico) in the Kristianstad Basin, Skåne (Scania), southern Sweden, have yielded a diverse mosasaur fauna comprising six to eight taxa, including Tylosaurus ivoensis, Clidastes propython, Hainosaurus minor n. sp., Halisaurus sternbergii, Platecarpus cf. somenensis, Platecarpus? sp. 18. Predictive Modelling of Heavy Metals in Urban Lakes
Sammanfattning : Heavy metals are well-known environmental pollutants. In this thesis predictive models for heavy metals in urban lakes are discussed and new models presented. The base of predictive modelling is empirical data from field investigations of many ecosystems covering a wide range of ecosystem characteristics. LÄS MER
19. Predictive Models and Eutrophication Effects of Fish Farms
Sammanfattning : Aquaculture has become one of the fastest growing food industries in the world. Like many other industries, aquaculture, and especially fish farms may cause negative effects on the environment, such as eutrophication, which is recognised as a major threat to aquatic ecosystems. 20. On the role of morphometry in coastal ecosystem modelling and management
Sammanfattning : Many signs show that the Baltic Sea is increasingly eutrophicated. Primary production hasincreased significantly resulting in gradually decreasing deep water oxygen concentrationsduring the twentieth century. In the coastal zone, problems are often manifested as oxygendepletion resulting in extinction of macrobenthic fauna. LÄS MER
