Sammanfattning : Measurements play a key role in the development of microwave hardware as they allow engineers to test and verify the RF performance on a system, circuit, and component level. Since modern cellular standards employ complex modulation formats with wider signal bandwidths to cope with the growing demand of higher datarates, nonlinear characterization using wideband stimuli is becoming increasingly important. Sammanfattning : The global surge for ubiquitous mobile communication requiring high speed and high capacity cellular networks has resulted in a golden age for the development of wireless technology. Modern cellular standards employ complex modulation formats with wider signal bandwidths to cope with the growing demand. LÄS MER
Sammanfattning : Background: Along with the austerity measures introduced in many countries, the economic crisis affecting Europe since 2008 seems to have impacted many aspects of the health of the Spanish population and has had a negative effect on the provision health services. An increasing body of knowledge has shown a clear impact of the current crisis on suicidal behaviour and mental health, and a less consistent effect on physical health and access to healthcare. 4. The presence of the past : a life course approach to the social determinants of health and health inequalities in northern Sweden
Sammanfattning : Background: Positioned at the intersection between the social and life course epidemiological sub-fields, this thesis builds on the idea that the health implications of life and living conditions can extend over years and decades before becoming expressed in the population patterns of ill-health. The overall purpose was to assess how multiple types of social determinants of health across the life course may contribute to ill-health and health inequalities in midlife. LÄS MER
5. Organic geochemical investigation of sources, transport and fate of terrestrial organic matter in the southeast Laptev Sea
Sammanfattning : Permafrost carbon stores have been suggested to react to warming trends with increased terrestrial loading to its coastal waters. Presently, the warming has been seen to be especially high in the East Siberian Arctic and the fate of the major release of terrestrial matter to these coasts is yet to be detailed. LÄS MER
