16. Gradient echo-based quantitative MRI of human brain at 7T : Mapping of T1, MT saturation and local flip angle
Sammanfattning : Quantitative MRI (qMRI) refers to the process of deriving maps of MR contrast parameters, such as relaxation times, from conventional images. If the qMRI maps have a high degree of precision and a low degree of bias, they can be compared longitudinally, across subjects, and (ideally) between measurement protocols and research sites. 17. Residual and critical saturation in geological storage of CO2 : results from field studies, pore-network modelling and laboratory experiments
Sammanfattning : Geological storage of CO2 in deep saline aquifers is a promising technology in the combat to reduce the atmospheric emissions of CO2. A critical component in this solution is the estimation of aquifer’s in situ capability to store CO2. LÄS MER
18. Graphene field-effect transistors and devices for advanced high-frequency applications
Sammanfattning : New device technologies and materials are continuously investigated, in order to increase the bandwidth of high-speed electronics, thereby extending data rate and range of applications. The 2D-material graphene, with its intrinsically extremely high charge carrier velocity, is considered as a promising new channel material for advanced high frequency field-effect transistors. 19. Modeling and Control of a PMSynRel Drive for a Plug-InHybrid Electric Vehicle
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents two transient models for a prototype integrated charger for use in a plug-in hybrid-electrical vehicle application. The models can be useful in order to develop control algorithms for the system or to recommend improvements to the machine design. LÄS MER
20. Extreme hemodilution: Effects of inhalation anesthetics, hypoxia, and blood loss. An Experimental study in pigs
Sammanfattning : Hemodilution reduces the need for blood transfusion and hereby the risk for transmission of infectious agents. The present study investigated effects on systemic and myocardial circulation and oxygenation, and blood lactate concentrations; induced by nitrous oxide, isoflurane, hypoxia, and uncompensated blood loss, in pigs hemodiluted to a hematocrit of 11%.
