  1. 1. "Warum klingt das nicht deutsch?" : Probleme der Informationsstrukturierung in deutschen Texten schwedischer Schüler und Studenten

    Detta är en avhandling från Almqvist & Wiksell International

    Författare :Christina Rosén; Växjö universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2006]
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; HUMANITIES and RELIGION Languages and linguistics; HUMANIORA och RELIGIONSVETENSKAP Språkvetenskap; Tyska; German; information structure; L1 Swedish; L2 German; cross-linguistic; transfer; discourse; thematic progression; language-specific; prefield; Vorfeld; second language acquisition; coherence; declarative; V2; SOV; SVO; written production; topic; foreign language; Linguistics; Allmän språkvetenskap Lingvistik; German language and literatur; Tyska språk och litteratur ;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the information-structural problems native speakers of Swedish have when producing texts in German as their second or foreign language (L2). The study is based on written production data from Swedish learners of German at the initial state (14-year-olds), at intermediate level (16-year-olds) and at advanced level (20-25-year-olds). 2. 2. Protein aggregation: Computational modeling and Monte Carlo algorithm development

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of Astronomy and Theoretical Physics, Lund University

    Författare :Sigurdur Jonsson; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2014]
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Monte Carlo simulations; protein aggregation; disordered proteins; Fysicumarcivet A:2014:Jonsson;

    Sammanfattning : Although organisms have evolved sophisticated cellular mechanisms for regulating their various protein networks, proteins sometimes start to clump together in an uncontrolled way. The aggregation of proteins has been associated with a range of serious diseases. LÄS MER

  3. 3. On Preposing and Word Order Rigidity

    Detta är en avhandling från University of Pennsylvania

    Författare :Asha Kiran Tickoo; Högskolan Dalarna.; [1990]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : SOV languages are said to have less rigid word order than SVO languages because they allow scrambling. This study attempts to demonstrate that the 'freedom' of SOV languages is also expressed in the weaker functional and formal constraints on preposing in these languages compared to the constraints on preposing in verb-medial languages. 4. 4. Sparse Voxel DAGs for Shadows and for Geometry with Colors

    Detta är en avhandling från ; Chalmers tekniska högskola; Gothenburg

    Författare :Dan Dolonius; [2018]

    Sammanfattning : Triangles are probably the most common format for shapes in computer graphics. Nevertheless, when high detail is desired, Sparse Voxel Octrees (SVO) and Sparse Voxel Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAG) can be considerably more memory efficient. One of the first practical use cases for DAGs was to use the structure to represent precomputed shadows. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Clefts in English and Swedish: A contrastive study of IT-clefts and WH-clefts in original texts and translations

    Detta är en avhandling från Department of English, Lund University

    Författare :Mats Johansson; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2002]
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Engelska språk och litteratur ; English language and literature; information structure; ground; focus; discourse topic; topic; theme; discourse; fronting; wh-clefts; it-clefts; pseudo-cleft constructions; cleft constructions; bidirectional translation corpus; translation; corpus linguistics; contrastive linguistics; Swedish; English; Scandinavian languages and literature; Nordiska språk språk och litteratur ; Linguistics; Lingvistik;

    Sammanfattning : This study investigates the use of cleft constructions in English and Swedish on the basis of a bidirectional translation corpus consisting of original English and Swedish texts and their translations into the other language. This design minimizes the problems inherent in corpora of original texts alone, viz. LÄS MER
