  1. 11. Radioimmunoimaging and Radioimmunotherapy of Prostate Cancer Preclinical evaluation of kallikrein related peptidase 2 targeting

    Författare :Oskar Vilhelmsson Timmermand; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Radioimmunoimaging; radioimmunotherapy; antibody; 11B6; indium-111; lutetium-177; kallikrein related peptidase 2; hK2; PSA; prostate cancer; SPECT; KLK2; cherenkov luminescence imaging; CLI;

    Sammanfattning : Prostate cancer is one of the major causes of cancer related deaths in men in Europe and the United States. In this doctoral thesis, radioimmunoimaging and -therapy of prostate cancer was investigated pre-clinically by targeting the human kallikrein-related peptidase 2 (hK2) with radiolabelled monoclonal antibodies. 2. 12. Advances in quantitative emission tomography : development and analysis of methods for validation and correction

    Författare :Cathrine Jonsson; Magnus Dahlbom; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SPECT; Quantification; rCBF; Scatter correction; Phantoms; medicinsk strålningsfysik; Medical Radiation Physics;

    Sammanfattning : The nuclear medicine imaging techniques SPECT and PET are sensitive tools in mapping various physiological and biochemical processes in vivo. This work was devoted to investigations of methodological and physical properties of the SPECT technique as well as developing methods for validation and correction. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Image Processing for Quantitative Scintillation-Camera Imaging. Application to Radionuclide Therapy

    Författare :Katarina Sjögreen Gleisner; Lund Medicinsk strålningsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; tomografi; radiologi; Klinisk fysiologi; medical instrumentation; tomography; radiology; 131-I; Clinical physics; SPECT; conjugate-view; volume quantification; activity quantification; image registration; image segmentation; medicinsk instrumentering; Nuclear medicine; radiobiology; Nukleärmedicin; radiobiologi; Radiopharmaceutical technology; Radiofarmaceutisk teknik;

    Sammanfattning : Individual-based determinations of the absorbed dose in radionuclide therapy largely rely on absolute measurement of the activity distribution and its redistribution over time. Scintillation-camera imaging is the most commonly employed measuring technique, applied in planar or SPECT mode, sometimes in combination with structural images from CT. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Quantification of pulmonary scintigraphy

    Författare :Jiahua Xu; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Emphysema; Inhomogeneity; Perfusion; scintigraphy; SPECT; 99mTc-Technegas; Ventilation; V Q;

    Sammanfattning : Modern nuclear medicine techniques, such as SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography), enable quantification and localisation of lung function in small lung elements, but appropriate methods are not yet available. The aim of the present project was therefore to develop and evaluate methods for mapping lung function in planar scintigrams and in SPECT. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Ventricular Depolarization in Ischemic Heart Disease.Value of Electrocardiography in Assessment of Severity and Extent of Acute Myocardial Ischemia

    Författare :Michael Ringborn; Kardiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Acute myocardial ischemia; Acute myocardial infarction; Severity of ischemia; QRS changes; HF-QRS; QRS slopes; Depolarization changes; Myocardium at risk; Final infarct size; SPECT.;

    Sammanfattning : Background In patients with symptoms compatible with acute myocardial infarction (MI), early triage by ECG in the pre-hospital phase by ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) criteria is important for direct transport of these patients to a regional center for primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI). The time from first medical contact to pPCI should, due to present guidelines, be no longer than two hours. LÄS MER
