  1. 11. [18F]Flutemetamol PET image processing, visualization and quantification targeting clinical routine

    Författare :Johan Lilja; Sörensen Jens; Mark Lubberink; Elna-Marie Larsson; Lars Olson; Claus Svarer; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; quantification; flutemetamol; amyloid imaging; Alzheimer’s disease; positron emission tomography; brain mapping; stereotactic surface projections; image registration; Computerized Image Processing; Datoriserad bildbehandling;

    Sammanfattning : Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the leading cause of dementia and is alone responsible for 60-70% of all cases of dementia. Though sharing clinical symptoms with other types of dementia, the hallmarks of AD are the abundance of extracellular depositions of β-amyloid (Aβ) plaques, intracellular neurofibrillary tangles of hyper phosphorylated tau proteins and synaptic depletion. 2. 12. Evaluation of Regularized Image Reconstruction for Clinical Positron Emission Tomography

    Författare :Elin Lindström; Mark Lubberink; Jens Sörensen; Anders Sundin; Anne Larsson Strömvall; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Positron emission tomography; PET CT; molecular imaging; image reconstruction; regularized reconstruction; quantification; oncology; neurology; cardiology; Medicinsk radiofysik; Medical Radiophysics;

    Sammanfattning : Positron emission tomography (PET) combined with computed tomography (CT) is a widely used noninvasive molecular imaging modality with a broad range of clinical applications in oncology, neurology, and cardiology. Producing imperative image quality and accurate quantification are important driving forces behind the technological advances within PET image reconstruction and system development. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Quantitative cardiac 15O-water PET : Assessment of left-ventricular function, remodeling, and impact of patient motion

    Författare :Jonny Nordström; Mark Lubberink; Jens Sörensen; Hendrik J Harms; Stephan Nekolla; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; positron emission tomography PET ; 15O-water; myocardial blood flow; cardiac remodeling; patient motion;

    Sammanfattning : International guidelines advocate the use of noninvasive cardiac imaging as the initial diagnostic test for coronary artery disease, the global leading cause of death according to the world health organization. Within the wide spectrum of cardiac imaging, 15O-water PET is the gold standard for noninvasive quantification of myocardial blood flow (MBF). LÄS MER

  4. 14. Uncemented Total Hip Arthroplasty : Aspects on Bone Biology, Implant Fixation, Periprosthetic Bone Remodeling, Bone Mineral Density and Effects of Denosumab

    Författare :Andreas Nyström; Hans Mallmin; Nils Hailer; Gösta Ullmark; Jens Sörensen; Arkan Sayed-Noor; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; THA; F-PET; Denosumab; CTMA;

    Sammanfattning : Uncemented total hip arthroplasty (THA) is associated with loss of periprosthetic bone mineral density (BMD). The collum femoris preserving (CFP) stem lost 28% of proximal BMD at 2 years. LÄS MER

  5. 15. PET in Prostate Cancer – Detection, Tumour Biology and Prognosis

    Författare :Naresh Kumar Regula; Jens Sörensen; Mark Lubberink; Irina Velikyan; Katrine Riklund; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Prostate cancer; 11C-acetate; 68Ga-PSMA-11; 18F-NaF; PET CT; Radiology; Radiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Prostate cancer (PCa) is the most common non-cutaneous malignancy in men and the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Sweden. Despite the major advances, the current diagnostic modalities fall short of standards, specifically, precise localization required for effective management of the PCa. LÄS MER
