It presents and discusses life narratives of individual fictional teachers in 127 texts. The study is organised chronologically and thematically and includes the historical and cultural framework.     Sammanfattning : This dissertation explores how characters who embody outsiderness and/or otherness intersect with and connote queerness—such as, for instance, homoeroticism and nonconformism—in the novels Peter Camenzind (1904) and Der Steppenwolf (1927) by German-language author Hermann Hesse (1877–1962).In most of Hesse’s novels, the narrative revolves around a male protagonist who is characterized as an outsider.     Sammanfattning : This study examines the motif of the Fallen World in Coleridge’s major poems The Ancient Mariner, Christabel and Kubla Khan . The use of Milton’s Paradise Lost as an intertextual foil throughout allows themes and metaphors inherent in the Fallen World motif to emerge in Coleridge’s poetry. LÄS MER
