1. A modular mRNA approach to study and treat phospholamban mediated cardiomyopathies
Sammanfattning : In the heart, phospholamban (PLN) is a key regulator of calcium cycling through its inhibitory effect on the sarco/endoplasmic reticulum Ca2+-ATPase (SERCA) pump. For more than two decades, modulating calcium channels has been a strong focus of prospective cardiac therapeutics with a recent emphasis on targeting PLN itself, partially due to the progressive uncovering of several cardiomyopathic PLN human mutations. 2. Biases in Visual Selective Attention : Trait Anxious Individuals Avert Their Gaze From Unpleasant Stimuli
Sammanfattning : Cognitive models of anxiety postulate that anxious individuals are inclined to pay more attention to negative than to positive emotional visual stimuli. The main aim of the present dissertation was to test this prediction, employing a measure of the direction of gaze. LÄS MER
3. Measurements in opportunistic networks
Sammanfattning : Opportunistic networks are a subset of delay tolerant networks where the contacts are unscheduled. Such networks can be formed ad hoc by wireless devices, such as mobile phones and laptops. LÄS MER
4. Opportunistic Networking : Congestion, Transfer Ordering and Resilience
Sammanfattning : Opportunistic networks are constructed by devices carried by people and vehicles. The devices use short range radio to communicate. Since the network is mobile and often sparse in terms of node contacts, nodes store messages in their buffers, carrying them, and forwarding them upon node encounters. LÄS MER
5. Making Sampled Simulations Faster by Minimizing Warming Time
Sammanfattning : A computer system simulator is a fundamental tool for computer architects to try out brand new ideas or explore the system’s response to different configurations when executing different program codes. However, even simulating the CPU core in detail is time-consuming as the execution rate slows down by several orders of magnitude compared to native execution. LÄS MER
