1. Linear Model Predictive Control : Stability and Robustness
Sammanfattning : Most real systems are subjected to constraints, both on the available control effort and the controlled variables. Classical linear feedback is in some cases not enough for such systems. This has motivated the development of a more complicated, nonlinear controller, called model predictive control, MPC. LÄS MER
2. Robust and Energy Efficient Scheduling
Sammanfattning : Scheduling can generally be described as the act of allocating resources to tasks over time such that a given performance measure is optimized. Traditionally, disturbances are not considered while developing schedules. A rescheduling framework has thus emerged, aiming to minimize the impact of unforeseen disruptions. LÄS MER

4. On the robust stability analysis of VSC-HVDC systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on small signal stability analysis of VSC-HVDC systems, emphasizing the system stability robustness with regard to the connected AC-grid and the distributed parameter DC-grid model respectively. In addition, for strong AC-grid connected systems, analytical eigenvalue expressions are provided to investigate the impact of physical or control parameters on the system stability for both two-terminal and multi-terminal VSC-HVDC systems. 5. Robust Platforms for Superconductivity : Disorder Robustness and Topological Density of States Peaks
Sammanfattning : We explore the connection between robust material platforms for superconductivity and the modern condensed matter physics paradigms of two-dimensional materials, topological states of matter, and odd-frequency superconductivity. Specifically, the recent discoveries of gapless topological matter and truly two-dimensional materials with graphene have greatly expanded the class of materials for which topology produces large, robust, even singular, density of states (DOS) peaks in the electronic structure that in turn are highly susceptible to new ordered states of matter, including superconductivity.
