11. Robot Path Planning
Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of three papers concerned with the basic path planning problem for robots moving in a known static environment. Our main interest has been industrial robots, but the methods are general and apply to a wide range of robots. LÄS MER
12. Toward a Sustainable Human-Robot Collaborative Production Environment
Sammanfattning : This PhD study aimed to address the sustainability issues of the robotic systems from the environmental and social aspects. During the research, three approaches were developed: the first one an online programming-free model-driven system that utilises web-based distributed human-robot collaboration architecture to perform distant assembly operations. 13. On Robot Control using Range Sensors : with Special Reference to Active Uncertainty Reduction
Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the problem of positioning robots relative to objects in the surrounding work space. The object's position and orientation (posture) are measured using a non-contact sensor on-board the robot. For gripping/docking tasks the goal posture is specified relative to the object and not in a fixed coordinate system of the robot. LÄS MER
14. Cognitive Interactive Robot Learning
Sammanfattning : Building general purpose autonomous robots that suit a wide range of user-specified applications, requires a leap from today's task-specific machines to more flexible and general ones. To achieve this goal, one should move from traditional preprogrammed robots to learning robots that easily can acquire new skills. LÄS MER
15. Identification, Diagnosis, and Control of a Flexible Robot Arm
Sammanfattning : The most important factors in manufacturing are quality, cost, and productivity. The trend is towards lighter robots with increased mechanical flexibilities, and therefore there is a need to include the flexibilities in the robot models to obtain good performance of the robot.
