    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Rheumatoid arthritis; Body awareness; Pain; Fatigue; Fear-avoidance beliefs about physical activity; Physical activity; Coping strategies; Cross-cultural adaptation; Concurrent think-aloud interviews; Narrative interviews; Phenomenological; Cross-sectional; Psychometrics; Rheumatoid Arthritis;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Pain and fatigue are highly common and a major concern for persons diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Having physical limitations, which have a significant effect on daily life, is also described as a major problem for persons with RA. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Autoantibodies and genetic variation in rheumatoid arthritis : aspects on susceptibility and disease course

    Författare :Alf Kastbom; Thomas Skogh; Peter Söderkvist; Alex Karlsson-Parra; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Rheumatoid arthritis; autoantibodies; single-nucleotide polymorphisms; disease course; Rheumatology; Reumatologi;

    Sammanfattning : Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease characterized by chronic inflammation and subsequent destruction of synovial joints. Although its causes remain largely unknown, a substantial genetic contribution is known to exist. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Associations Between Rheumatoid Arthritis and Malignant Lymphomas

    Författare :Eva Baecklund; Christer Sundström; Anders Ekbom; Roger Hällgren; Tore Kvien; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Medicine; rheumatoid arthritis; malignant lymphoma; diffuse large B-cell lymphoma; disease activity; disease modifying anti-rheumatic drug; Epstein-Barr virus; germinal centre-like non-germinal centre-like subtype; Medicin; Dermatology and venerology; clinical genetics; internal medicine; Dermatologi och venerologi; klinisk genetik; invärtesmedicin;

    Sammanfattning : Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) are at increased risk of developing malignant lymphoma, although details about this association remain unclear. The aims of this thesis were to investigate risk factors for lymphoma in patients with RA and to characterize these lymphomas regarding subtype, presence of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), clinical manifestations and prognosis. 4. 24. T cells and chemokines in rheumatoid arthritis

    Författare :Jonathan Aldridge; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Rheumatoid arthritis; CD4 T cells; chemokines; disease activity; biomarker; CTLA-4Ig;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, we investigated if circulating proportions of specific CD4+ T cell subsets and blood chemokine levels were associated with disease activity and/or could predict remission in patients with early rheumatoid arthritis (eRA). We also compared the effect of different biological treatments on both T cell subset proportions and chemokine levels. LÄS MER
