1. Space Weather Physics: Dynamic Neural Network Studies of Solar Wind-Magnetosphere Coupling
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents studies of solar wind-magnetosphere coupling using dynamic neural networks in combination with statistically correlative analysis. The primary contribution of the thesis is dynamic neural network models that can be implemented for near real-time predictions of geomagnetic storms from the solar wind alone. LÄS MER
2. Analysis of the Radiation Environment on Board the International Space Station Using Data from the SilEye-3/Alteino Experiment
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents an analysis of the radiation environment on board the Russian section of the International Space Station (ISS) using data from the SilEye-3/Alteino experiment. As part of the analysis the efficiency and response of the SilEye-3/Alteino detector was studied. LÄS MER
3. International Responsibility for Activities in Outer Space in the Modern Space Age : Article VI of the Outer Space Treaty in the context of international space law and public international law
Sammanfattning : This dissertation is set in the context of the modern space age, which is characterised by an overall increase in space activities on a global scale and a relative increase in private and commercial space activities. Space has become a business case. LÄS MER
4. Instrumentation for energetic Neutral atom measurements at Mars, Venus and The Earth
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the development and calibrations of sensors to measure energetic neutral atoms (ENAs) at Mars, Venus, and the Earth. ENAs are formed in charge exchange processes between energetic, singly--charged ions and a cold neutral gas. LÄS MER
5. Para-espaces dans le thtre franais de la priode romantique (1828-1835)
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the functions of prevalent threshold-like spaces such as windows, stairs, doors or balconies in theatre plays from the height of the Romantic era in France (1828-1835). The study coins the concept of « para-espaces » (para-spaces) and elucidates the way they mediate between different divisions of the spatiotemporal structure of a play. LÄS MER
