  1. 1. Printed RFID Humidity Sensor Tags for Flexible Smart Systems

    Författare :Yi Feng; Werner Zapka; Li-Rong Zheng; Qiang Chen; Donald Lupo; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Intelligent packaging; humidity sensor; wireless sensor; chipless RFID; multi-walled carbon nanotube; inkjet printing; LC resonator; paper electronics; flexible electronics.;

    Sammanfattning : Radio frequency identification (RFID) and sensing are two key technologies enabling the Internet of Things (IoT). Development of RFID tags augmented with sensing capabilities (RFID sensor tags) would allow a variety of new applications, leading to a new paradigm of the IoT. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Moisture redistribution in screeded concrete slabs

    Författare :Magnus Åhs; Avdelningen för Byggnadsmaterial; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hysteresis; Scanning; Relative humidity; Moisture redistribution; Sorption isotherms; Screeded slab;

    Sammanfattning : The principal objective for this licentiate thesis is to develop a methodology and evaluation model in order to make the future relative humidity in a screeded concrete slab predictable. Residual moisture in screeded concrete slabs may redistribute to the top screed surface under semi-permeable flooring, thus elevating the relative humidity, RH, and possibly exceed the critical humidity level. 3. 3. Determination of the Critical Moisture Level for Mould Growth on Building Materials

    Författare :Pernilla Johansson; Avdelningen för Byggnadsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Crawl space; Fungus; Mould resistance; Wood; Building materials; Mould; Critical moisture level; Attic; Relative humidity; Cyclic conditions; Laboratory method;

    Sammanfattning : The susceptibility to mould growth varies between building materials. The factors that most affect mould growth, the relative humidity (RH) and temperature also vary in different parts of buildings. One way of preventing the growth of mould in buildings is therefore to choose building materials that can withstand the expected conditions. LÄS MER

  4. 4. HNO3-Induced Atmospheric Corrosion of Copper, Zinc and Carbon Steel

    Författare :Farid Samie; Christofer Leygraf; Carlos Arroyave; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Nitric acid; deposition velocity; mass transport; air velocity; relative humidity; Chemistry; Kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The role of nitric acid (HNO3) on the atmospheric corrosion of metals has so far received little or no attention. However, the last decades of decreasing sulphur dioxide (SO2) levels and unchanged HNO3 levels in many industrialized countries have resulted in an increased interest in possible HNO3-induced atmospheric corrosion effects. 5. 5. Effect of hydration on thermodynamic, rheological and structural properties of mucin

    Författare :Yana Znamenskaya; Malmö högskola; []
    Nyckelord :mucous gel; mucus; mucin; PGM; BSM; BSM chitosan multilayers; hydration; water sorption isotherm; relative humidity; water activity; bound water; enthalpy of hydration of biopolymer; glass transition; rheology; phase diagram; fiber-like structure; dumbbell-like structure; sorption calorimetry; DSC; QCM-D; SAXS; AFM;

    Sammanfattning : Mucus, an adherent hydrated layer covering the epithelium, is found in all internal tracts of the body and plays an important role in animal and human life. One of the essential functions of mucus is protection of tissues against dehydration. LÄS MER
