  1. 1. Et uregjerlig mangfold? : Lokale og regionale museer som saksfelt i norsk kulturpolitikk 1900 - cirka 1970

    Författare :Lise Emilie Fosmo Talleraas; Kerstin Smeds; Svante Beckman; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Museology; Norwegian museum history; local and regional history museums; national museum policy; policydevelopment; museum administration; regulation; proffesionalisation;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to give a historical view upon and examine the development of local and regional cultural history museums in Norway as a topic in Norwegian cultural policy 1900 – circa 1970. The present thesis is divided into four main parts: In part one data sources and theoretical perspectives are presented. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Impacts of Regional Climate Change on Swedish Forests: An Evaluation Using Process-based Regional Ecosystem Modelling Approach

    Författare :Deniz Koca; Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; fysisk geografi; Geologi; Geology; physical geography; Sweden; forest management; diversity; carbon sequestration; net primary productivity; regional climate change; process-based regional ecosystem modelling;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to provide a representative estimate of the potential impacts of climate change and increased atmospheric CO2 concentrations on Swedish forest ecosystems and the key ecosystem services they provide. In order to achieve this task, fi rst LPJ-GUESS, a process-based regional ecosystem modelling framework, was applied to explore how possible shifts in climatic zones according to a range of regional climate scenarios may lead to changes in the tree species distribution and composition, net primary productivity (NPP) and carbon sequestration capacity of potential natural ecosystems on species level and at the regional scale. 3. 3. Regional diversity and economic performance

    Författare :Sofia Wixe; Johan Klaesson; Börje Johansson; Frank Van Oort; Jönköping University; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis consists of an introductory chapter and four individual papers. In each paper the relationship between some form of spatial diversity and economic performance is analyzed. Diversity is treated as a potential source of externality effects, mainly in the form of knowledge spillovers. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Ordovician (Billingen and Volkhov stages) Brachiopod Faunas of the East Baltic

    Författare :Eva Egerquist; Lars Holmer; John S. Peel; Michael G. Bassett; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Earth sciences; Early Middle Ordovician; Billingen Regional Stage; Volkhov Regional Stage; Diversity; Brachiopoda; Conodonta; Ostracoda; Estonia; Russia; Geovetenskap; Earth sciences; Geovetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Lower-Middle Ordovician (Arenig) successions in the East Baltic have been investigated for more than one hundred and fifty years. Nevertheless detailed sampling still yields new species and better knowledge of the environment in which these organisms lived. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Biological Diversity of Fish and Bacteria in Space and Time

    Författare :Henrik Ragnarsson; Peter Eklöv; Kerstin Holmgren; Göran Englund; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Ecology; species richness; fish; lake; biogeography; glacial; colonization; metacommunity; speciation; perch; bacteria; diversity; Ekologi;

    Sammanfattning : Biological diversity is controlled by an array of factors and processes all active at different spatial and temporal scales. Regional factors control what species are available to occur locally, whereas the local factors determine what species are actually capable of colonizing the locality. LÄS MER
