  1. 1. Production of Hydrogen for Oil Refining by Thermal Gasification of Biomass: Process Design, Integration and Evaluation

    Författare :Jean-Florian Brau; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Hydrogen; Modeling; Refining; Biomass Gasification; Energy Systems; Process Integration;

    Sammanfattning : Hydrogen is an important part of crude oil refining operations since it is required in several units for the desulphurization and upgrading of various oil fractions. At present, most of the refineries meet their hydrogen demand through methane steam reforming, a refinery unit that can represent up to 25% of the plant’s fossil CO2 emissions. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Automated Approaches for Formal Verification of Embedded Systems Artifacts

    Författare :Predrag Filipovikj; Cristina Seceleanu; Jim Woodcock; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; embedded systems; Simulink; systems specifications; model-checking; formal verification; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Modern embedded software is so large and complex that creating the necessary artifacts, including system requirements specifications and design-time models, as well as assuring their correctness have become difficult to manage. One challenge stems from the high number and intricacy of system requirements that combine functional and possibly timing or other types of constraints, which make them hard to analyze. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Development and evaluation of methods for control and modelling of multiple-input multiple-output systems

    Författare :Fredrik Bengtsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Input-output scaling; Modeling; Fiber length; Tensile Index; Hold-input; Decentralized control; Gramian based measures; Delays; LQG control; TMP; Uncertain data sets; Unreliable communication links; MIMO systems; Control configuration selection; Linear regression; Freeness; Shives; CTMP;

    Sammanfattning : In control, a common type of system is the multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system, where the same input may affect multiple outputs, or conversely, the same output is affected by multiple inputs. In this thesis two methods for controlling MIMO systems are examined, namely linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) control and decentralized control, and some of the difficulties associated with them.
