  1. 1. Towards Realistic Visualisation of Production Systems

    Författare :Erik Lindskog; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Realistic visualisation; Manufacturing systems; 3D laser scanning; Point clouds; Production systems;

    Sammanfattning : Redesigning a production system is a complex process for which numerous virtual tools are available to support the planning process. These virtual tools are used to forecast and analyse the production system prior to implementing the redesign, which makes it possible to identify and prevent costly problems during the planning process. 2. 2. Realistic Package Opening Simulations : An Experimental Mechanics and Physics Based Approach

    Författare :Eskil Andreasson; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Polymer; aluminium foil; semi-crystalline; progressive damage; Abaqus;

    Sammanfattning : A finite element modeling strategy targeting package opening simulations is the final goal with this work. The developed simulation model will be used to proactively predict the opening compatibility early in the development process of a new opening device and/or a new packaging material. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : During the early 1990s, a novel style of programming often referred to as component-oriented programming quickly grew popular as the state-of-the-art in graphical user interface and client/server development on Windows-based personal computers, largely in competition with object-oriented programming, a partly similar, partly different programming paradigm, with which component-orientation is often compared, combined, and confused. Also during the 1990s, the world-wide web spread its arachnoid gossamer over the globe with deep-ranging ramifications for software component technology. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Mechanics and Failure in Thin Material Layers : Towards Realistic Package Opening Simulations

    Författare :Eskil Andreasson; Sharon Kao-Walter; Gabriella Bolzon; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; aluminium foil; FEM; LDPE; localisation; necking; polymer; progressive damage; semi-crystalline; simulation; virtual twin;

    Sammanfattning : The final goal of this PhD-work is an efficient and user-friendly finite element modelling strategy targeting an industrial available package opening application.  In order to reach this goal, different experimental mechanical and fracture mechanical tests were continuously refined to characterize the studied materials. 5. 5. Realistic Real-Time Rendering of Global Illumination and Hair through Machine Learning Precomputations

    Författare :Roc Ramon Currius; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Neural Networks; Real-time rendering; Lightfields; Realistic Rendering; Global Illumination; Hair Rendering; Machine Learning;

    Sammanfattning : Over the last decade, machine learning has gained a lot of traction in many areas, and with the advent of new GPU models that include acceleration hardware for neural network inference, real-time applications have also started to take advantage of these algorithms. In general, machine learning and neural network methods are not designed to run at the speeds that are required for rendering in high-performance real-time environments, except for very specific and typically limited uses.
