21. Consolidating Automotive Real-Time Applications on Many-Core Platforms
Sammanfattning : Automotive systems have transitioned from basic transportation utilities to sophisticated systems. The rapid increase in functionality comes along with a steep increase in software complexity. This manifests itself in a surge of the number of functionalities as well as the complexity of existing functions. LÄS MER
22. Node-Level Fault Tolerance for Embedded Real-Time Systems
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with cost-effective design and validation of fault tolerant distributed real-time systems. Such systems play an increasingly important role in embedded applications such as automotive and aerospace systems. LÄS MER
23. Verification and Scheduling Techniques for Real-Time Embedded Systems
Sammanfattning : Embedded computer systems have become ubiquitous. They are used in a wide spectrum of applications, ranging from household appliances and mobile devices to vehicle controllers and medical equipment. LÄS MER
24. Improving Soft Real-time Performance of Fog Computing
Sammanfattning : Fog computing is a distributed computing paradigm that brings data processing from remote cloud data centers into the vicinity of the edge of the network. The computation is performed closer to the source of the data, and thus it decreases the time unpredictability of cloud computing that stems from (i) the computation in shared multi-tenant remote data centers, and (ii) long distance data transfers between the source of the data and the data centers. 25. Towards Aspectual Component-Based Real-Time System Development
Sammanfattning : Increasing complexity of real-time systems and demands for enabling their configurability and tailorability are strong motivations for applying new software engineering principles such as aspect-oriented and component-based software development. The integration of these two techniques into real-time systems development would enable: (i) efficient system configuration from the components in the component library based on the system requirements, (ii) easy tailoring of components and/or a system for a specific application by changing the behavior (code) of the component by aspect weaving, and (iii) enhanced flexibility of the real-time and embedded software through the notion of system configurability and component tailorability.
