16. An analysis of the dynamics of multidisciplinary medical team meetings and the use of communication technology
Sammanfattning : Multidisciplinary medical team meetings (MDTM)s are collaborative fora where healthcare spe- cialists come together to discuss patient cases, establish a definitive diagnosis and determine the best treatment strategy for the patient. The practice of MDTMs is growing in importance as regulatory agencies advocate their adoption into routine practice. LÄS MER
17. Magnetic Resonance Imaging of the Heart : Image quality, measurement accuracy and patient experience
Sammanfattning : Background: Non-invasive diagnostic imaging of atherosclerotic coronary artery disease (CAD) is frequently carried out with cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) or myocardial perfusion single photon emission computed tomography (MPS). CMR is the gold standard for the evaluation of scar after myocardial infarction and MPS the clinical gold standard for ischemia. LÄS MER
18. Orthopaedic measurements with computed radiography. Methodological development, accuracy, and radiation dose with special reference to the weight-bearing lower extremity and the dislocating patella
Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this study was to develop and evaluate a measurement system for computed radiography (CR) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), permitting measurements of long distances and angles in and between related images. The developed measurement system, which was based on the QUESTOR Precision Radiography (QPR) system, was applied to the weight-bearing knee with special reference to the dislocating patella. LÄS MER
19. Guidance and Visualization for Brain Tumor Surgery
Sammanfattning : Image guidance and visualization play an important role in modern surgery to help surgeons perform their surgical procedures. Here, the focus is on neurosurgery applications, in particular brain tumor surgery where a craniotomy (opening of the skull) is performed to access directly the brain region to be treated. LÄS MER
20. Resource efficient automatic segmentation of medical images
Sammanfattning : Cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide. In 2020, there were around 10 million cancer deaths and nearly 20 million new cancer cases in the world. Radiation therapy is essential in cancer treatments because half of the cancer patients receive radiation therapy at some point. LÄS MER
