16. Diagnosis and Radioimmunotherapy of Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinomas
Sammanfattning : The diagnosis and treatment of patients with advanced tumors in the head and neck is an interesting challenge where there is a need for new approaches in diagnostics and adjuvant treatment. Differences in antigen expression between tumors and normal tissues provide a means for application of antibody-based targeting techniques. LÄS MER
17. Radioimmunotherapy in an Immunocompetent Tumor Model utilizing a 177Lu-mAb
Sammanfattning : Radioimmunotherapy (RIT) is a therapeutic strategy in which radionuclides are conjugated to monoclonal antibodies that bind to tumor-associated antigens in the tumor, so that the decay of the radionuclide takes place inside the tumor. The aim of the research presented in this thesis was to investigate the effects of RIT (utilizing the radioconjugated antibody 177Lu-BR96) on an inoculated tumor and the development of metastases. 18. High-Dose Radioimmunotherapy and Extracorporeal Depletion in A Syngeneic Rat Tumor Model
Sammanfattning : ABSTRACT Radioimmunotherapy (RIT) consists of using monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) recognizing tumor-selective antigens, as carriers of cytotoxic radionuclides to tumor tissue. RIT has been effective in lymphoma but less successful in solid tumors. LÄS MER
19. RADIOIMMUNOTHERAPY & EXTRACORPOREAL ADSORPTION Preclinical Studies of the Pharmacokinetics & Biotinylation of Radioimmunoconjugates in Immunocompetent Rats
Sammanfattning : Extracorporeal adsorption (ECAT) is a novel strategy to reduce activity in whole body (WB), blood and radiosensitive organs by removing the excess of radiolabeled and biotinylated monoclonal antibody (MAb) from blood so that tumor/normal tissue ratio (T/N) could be improved. By increasing T/N, higher amounts of radiolabeled MAb might be administered, making it possible to treat disseminated carcinomas. LÄS MER
20. Synthesis of functional derivatives of [B12H12]2- anion for boron neutron capture therapy, radiodiagnostics and radioimmunotherapy
Sammanfattning : Functional derivatives of dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborate anion [B12H12]2- are potential candidates for medical application in boron neutron capture therapy for cancer and as linkers for the introduction of radiohalogen label into biomolecules for radioimmunodiagnostics and radioimmunotherapy. In this study, new approaches for the synthesis of functional derivatives of the closo-dodecaborate anion were developed and a series of novel functional derivatives were prepared.
