16. Lanthanide-mediated C-F Bond Activation Method Development and Mechanistic Investigation
Sammanfattning : The use of transition-metals and main-group Lewis acids has proven to be an outstanding source for activation and subsequent functionalization of fluorinated compounds. However, the first is mainly limited to C(sp2)–F bonds which partially are activated by an adjacent heteroatom, and the latter is limited to simple C(sp3)–F bonds due to particularly strong Lewis acid character. 17. Novel Approaches to Phosphorus-containing Heterocycles and Cumulenes
Sammanfattning : Fast development in all areas of life and science over the last 50 years demands versatile, energy efficient and cheap materials with specific but easily tuneable properties which can be used for example in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs), thin-film transistors, photovoltaic cells, etc. This thesis is devoted to the development of novel synthetic approaches to molecules with potential applications in the field of molecular electronics. 18. Development of new Fluorination Methods Directed to Fluorine-18 Labelling
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the development of new fluorination reactions and their application to fluorine-18 labelling. Fluorine-18 labelled compounds are employed as tracers in Positron Emission Tomography (PET), which is a powerful non-invasive imaging method in medical diagnostics. LÄS MER
19. Development of bioluminescent reagents for kinetic analysis and some applications in clinical chemistry
Sammanfattning : Firefly luciferase and a bacterial luciferase system have been used to develop analytical methods suitable for use in clinical analysis. The influence of the level of NADH:FMN oxidoreductase on the kinetics of light emission in the bacterial luciferase system was studied. LÄS MER
20. On the Determination of Reactive Compounds in Aerosols
Sammanfattning : Many sources of airborne contaminants have always been present in various work environments. With the development of thermosetting plastic systems, the use of reactive chemical compounds was greatly increased and thus also the risk of exposure to reactive and potentially hazardous compounds.
