  1. 1. The G protein-coupled receptor GPR30 signalosome - A novel G protein-independent mechanism regulating cAMP signaling and receptor trafficking

    Författare :Stefan Broselid; Drug Target Discovery; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; AKAP5; AKAP; MAGUK; cAMP signaling; constitutive signaling; signalosome; GPER; GPR30; GPCR; cytokeratin; RAMP3; apoptotic signaling; breast cancer; PDZ; PDZ-ligand;

    Sammanfattning : The large protein family called G Protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) has co-evolved with life throughout evolution; from single cell organisms all the way to complex beings such as us humans. The fact that GPCRs are involved in essentially every physiological event, and that ~50% of drugs on the current market are either directly or indirectly targeted towards the function of GPCRs, we can be certain of their considerable importance. 2. 2. The calcitonin gene family of peptides : receptor expression and effects on bone cells

    Författare :Susanne Granholm; Ulf Lerner; Pernilla Lundberg; Göran Andersson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; CT family of peptides; osteoclast differentiation; bone resorption; CTR; CRLR; RAMPs; Cell biology; Cellbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : The calcitonin gene family of peptides consists of calcitonin (CT), two calcitonin gene related peptides (α-CGRP, β-CGRP), adrenomedullin (ADM), amylin (AMY), three calcitonin receptor activating peptides (CRSP1-3) and intermedin/adrenomedullin2 (IMD). These peptides bind to one of two G protein -coupled receptors, the calcitonin receptor (CTR) or the calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CRLR). LÄS MER
