21. Influence of Ladle-slag Additions on BOF-Process Parameters
Sammanfattning : The influence of ladle-slag additions on the BOF-process performance were investigated in plant trials. The aim of the study was to recycle ladle slag from secondary steelmaking to the LD-converter to save lime and improve the slag formation. LÄS MER
22. Simulations of Evaporation Plants in Kraft Pulp Mills: Including Lignin Extraction and Use of Excess Heat
Sammanfattning : In this thesis, evaporation plants at kraft pulp mills are simulated with the purpose of making them more energy efficient. The work is important since energy saving is assumed to be one of the major solutions for handling the world's energy demand in the future. LÄS MER
23. Co-firing complex biomass in a CFB boiler : ash transformation, corrosion control and materials selection
Sammanfattning : The effects of greenhouse gas net emissions on global warming, stricter legislation on waste handling, and the pursuit of ever cheaper heat- and power production are all important factors driving the introduction of complex fuels in incineration plants. However - without fundamental knowledge regarding ash transformation, corrosion control, and materials selection – this introduction of potentially economically and environmentally beneficial fuels, might instead cause economic loss and environmentally adverse effects. 24. Electron beam melting of Alloy 718 : Influence of process parameters on the microstructure
Sammanfattning : Additive manufacturing (AM) is the name given to the technology of building 3D parts by adding layer-by-layer of materials, including metals, plastics, concrete, etc. Of the different types of AM techniques, electron beam melting (EBM), as a powder bed fusion technology, has been used in this study. 25. Laser Metal Deposition using Alloy 718 Powder : Influence of Process Parameters on Material Characteristics
Sammanfattning : Additive manufacturing (AM) is a general name used for manufacturing methods which have the capabilities of producing components directly from 3D computeraided design (CAD) data by adding material layer-by-layer until a final componentis achieved. Included here are powder bed technologies, laminated object manufacturing and deposition technologies. LÄS MER
