  1. 1. Möjligheter till lärande i matematik : Lärares problemformuleringar och dynamisk programvara

    Författare :Lil Engström; Thomas Lingefjärd; Per-Olof Wickman; Ole Björkqvist; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Cabri Geometry; dynamic geometry software; mathematics teaching; teachers problem posing; Matematikdidaktik; dynamisk programvara; problemformulering; undervisning; Education; Pedagogik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the first Swedish empirical evidence on how teachers employ a dynamic mathematical software when teaching mathematics in upper secondary school. The study examines: a) How teachers formulate mathematical problems? b) How they use the experience the students have gained? and c) What use they make of the software’s potential? These questions are examined through classroom observations followed up by discussions with the teachers. LÄS MER

  2. 2. What’s the Problem? Reformulating the Problem for Balanced-Strategy Creation

    Författare :Sveinung Jørgensen; Per Skålén; Håvard Teigen; Stefan Tengblad; Karlstads universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Problem formulation; balanced-strategy creation; the means-end fallacy; decision-making; corporate social responsibility; creativity; Problemformulering; balanserad strategiutveckling; medel-mål felslutet; beslutsteori; företagets sociala ansvarstagande; kreativitet; Business studies; Företagsekonomi; Business Administration; Företagsekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : By asking “What’s the problem?” this thesis addresses the crucial relationship between how strategic decision-makers formulate organizational problems and how the relevant actors attempt to solve these problems. This thesis holds that the creation of strategy can be conceived of as a decision-making process in which the strategists find, formulate and attempt to solve problems by choosing a set of means to reduce the perceived gap between the current state and the desired state of the organization. 3. 3. The Problem of Formulating Design Problems : A Typology of Design Briefs

    Författare :Juan Felipe Ruiz Muñoz; Renee Wever; Marie Bengtsson; Matteo Vignoli; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES;

    Sammanfattning : It is common for a design team to be handed a problem to solve for others. The handing over is normally referred to as a ‘briefing’ process, and the documentation of the starting point and what is to be done is known as a ‘brief’. It is known that the way we frame and understand a problem influences what paths we see to potential solutions. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Automated Support for the Architecting of Distributed Embedded Systems : Methods and Analysis for Industrial Adoption

    Författare :Xinhai Zhang; Martin Törngren; Marco Di Natale; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Machine Design; Maskinkonstruktion; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : The architecture design complexity of modern embedded systems, such as in the automotive domain, is growing due to the rapidly evolved functionalities, the increasing amount of interactions between functions and computation nodes, and the stringent extra-functional requirements. Architecture design is crucial since it affects nontrivial system properties such as safety, cost, performance of functionalities and also the development time. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Preparing Spatial Haptics for Interaction Design

    Författare :Jonas Forsslund; Eva-Lotta Sallnäs Pysander; Ylva Fernaeus; Jan Gulliksen; Karl-Johan Lundin-Palmerius; Karon MacLean; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; haptics; interaction design; surgery simulation; haptik; interaktionsdesign; medicinsk simulering; kirurgi; Människa-datorinteraktion; Human-computer Interaction;

    Sammanfattning : Spatial haptics is a fascinating technology with which users can explore and modify3D computer graphics objects with the sense of touch, but its application potentialis often misunderstood. For a large group of application designers it is still unknown,and those who are aware of it often have either too high expectations of what is technicallyachievable or believe it is too complicated to consider at all.
