  1. 21. Strategic Maintenance Development focusing on use of Condition Based Maintenance in Manufacturing Industry

    Författare :Ali Rastegari; Mats Jackson; Aditya Parida; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Innovation and Design; innovation och design;

    Sammanfattning : The growth of global competition caused remarkable changes in the way manufacturing companies operate. These changes have affected maintenance and made its role even more crucial in business success. In order to stay competitive, manufacturing companies need to continuously increase the effectiveness and efficiency of their production processes. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Design and Optimization of In-Cycle Closed-Loop Combustion Control with Multiple Injections

    Författare :Carlos Jorques Moreno; Förbränningsmotorer; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Diesel Combustion; Pilot-Main Injection; Pilot Mass Estimation; Cylinder Volume Estimation; Bayesian Estimation; In-Cycle Combustion Controllability; In-Cycle Combustion Control; Model Predictive Combustion Control; Stochastic Combustion Optimization; Hardware Quantification;

    Sammanfattning : With the increasing demand of transportation, biofuels play a fundamental role in the transition to sustainable powertrains. For the increased uncertainty of biofuel combustion properties, advanced combustion control systems have the potential to operate the engine with high flexibility while maintaining a high efficiency and robustness. 3. 23. Nonconformity Measures and Ensemble Strategies : An Analysis of Conformal Predictor Efficiency and Validity

    Författare :Henrik Linusson; Ulf Johansson; Henrik Boström; Alexander Gammerman; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Data Science; Machine Learning; Conformal Prediction; Classification; Regression; Computer and Systems Sciences; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Conformal predictors are a family of predictive models that associate with each of their predictions a measure of confidence, enabling them to provide quantitative information about their own trustworthiness. In risk-laden machine learning applications, where bad predictions may lead to economic loss, personal injury, or worse, such inherent quality control appears highly beneficial, if not required. 4. 24. Model-Based Control of Gasoline Partially Premixed Combustion

    Författare :Gabriel Ingesson; Institutionen för reglerteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Pressure-Sensor Feedback; Model Predictive Control; Model-Based Controller Design; Partially Premixed Combustion;

    Sammanfattning : Partially Premixed Combustion (PPC) is an internal combustion engine concept that aims to yield low NOx and soot emission levels together with high engine efficiency. PPC belongs to the class of low temperature combustion concepts where the ignition delay is prolonged in order to promote the air-fuel-mixture homogeneity in the combustion chamber at the start of combustion. 5. 25. Decision-making in SME internationalization : The role and use of Control in decisions made under the uncertainties of foreign market expansion

    Författare :Luis Oliveira; Martin Johanson; Carin Nordström; Katarina Blomkvist; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SME internationalization; non-predictive strategy; control-based strategy; environmental uncertainty; international market performance; Complex Systems – Microdata Analysis; Komplexa system - mikrodataanalys;

    Sammanfattning : Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) make the backbone of virtually all economies but most of them are only marginally engaged with global markets, particularly those from developing countries. Our ability to advise these firms is currently limited for two major reasons: on the one hand, conventional International Business literature treats the firm as a black box and does not advance in decision-making dynamics that are critical to SMEs' foreign expansion; on the other, recent SME internationalization studies have achieved important progress but seem dependent on the use of Effectuation theory to represent the decisions that guide SME internationalization.
