  1. 1. Den potentiella människan : En undersökning av teorier om självförverkligande

    Författare :Staffan Nilsson; Carl-Henric Grenholm; Mikael Lindfelt; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Ethics; Self; self-realization; self-fulfilment; self-actualization; human development; internalism; relationalism; reconciliation; Abraham H Maslow; Charles Taylor; Alan Gewirth; Reinhold Niebuhr; Bernard Lonergan; Etik; Philosophy subjects; Filosofiämnen;

    Sammanfattning : “What characterizes an acceptable theory of self-realization?” The thrust of the present dissertation is towards seeking an answer to this central problem, which stems from the fundamental human experience that life involves change, and that in a modern society such change is often expected to be towards a realization of potentials and the good life for the individual. The dissertation has a three-fold purpose. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Characterization of the MRI patient exposure environment and exposure assessment methods for magnetic fields in MRI scanners

    Författare :Jennifer Frankel; Jonna Wilén; Anders Garpebring; Johan Olsrud; Peter Lundberg; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; electromagnetic fields; exposure assessment; magnetic resonance imaging; switched gradient fields; radiofrequency fields; exposure metrics; radiofysik; radiation physics;

    Sammanfattning : Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has become one of the most common imaging modalities available in modern medicine, and it is an indispensable diagnostic tool thanks to the unparalleled soft-tissue contrast and high image resolution. It is also a unique exposure environment consisting of a complex mix of magnetic fields. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Estetiska lärprocesser: Definition, position och potential

    Författare :Björn Emmoth; Eva Alerby; Niclas Ekberg; Ylva Backman; Sofie Areljung; Luleå tekniska universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to contribute to an understanding of the definition and position of aesthetic learning processes (ALP), as well as to illustrate and discuss its potential for learning. This is achieved based on Ricoeur´s hermeneutic approach. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Multi-Agent Potential Field based Architectures for Real-Time Strategy Game Bots

    Författare :Johan Hagelbäck; Stefan J. Johan; Pieter Spronck; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; real-time strategy; potential fields; multi-agent systems; emergent behavior; Computer Science; Datavetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Real-Time Strategy (RTS) is a sub-genre of strategy games which is running in real-time, typically in a war setting. The player uses workers to gather resources, which in turn are used for creating new buildings, training combat units, build upgrades and do research. The game is won when all buildings of the opponent(s) have been destroyed. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Investigations of auroral electric fields and currents

    Författare :Tommy Johansson; Göran Marklund; Kristina Lynch; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; auroral physics; auroral electric fields; auroral potential structures; auroral particle acceleration; Space physics; Rymdfysik;

    Sammanfattning : The Cluster spacecraft have been used to investigate auroral electric fields and field-aligned currents (FACs) at geocentric distances between 4 and 7 Re. The electric fields have been measured by the EFW instrument, consisting of two pairs of spherical probes, and the FACs have been calculated from measurements of the magnetic field by the FGM fluxgate magnetometer.
