    Sammanfattning : Syfte: Avhandlingens övergripande syfte var att utforska sorgereaktioner hos närstående till personer som avlidit till följd av plötsligt hjärtstopp. De specifika syftena var att: belysa innebörder av levda erfarenheter av att förlora en nära person som avlidit till följd av plötsligt hjärtstopp (I), beskriva symtom på förlängd sorg och självskattad hälsa hos närstående, samt att jämföra partners och icke-partners (II), undersöka samband mellan symtom på förlängd sorg och psykisk ohälsa samt identifiera associerade faktorer (III), undersöka sorgereaktioner i relation till socialt och professionellt stöd, sex och tolv månader efter förlusten (IV).     Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to describe and determine intensive care sedation in adult mechanically ventilated patients with the emphasis on patients? memory, stressful experiences and psychological distress. The results are based on a nationwide postal survey (Paper I) including 89 Swedish intensive care units (ICUs) followed by a prospective cohort study (Papers II?IV) conducted over 18 months in 2 ICUs including 313 mechanically ventilated adults admitted for more than 24 hours.     Sammanfattning : This thesis explores cancer from a primary care perspective covering three areas: diagnosis, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and end-of-life care. We analyzed patient records of every child diagnosed with a malignancy in a defined area. During 12 years 68 children were diagnosed (incidence 14/100,000). LÄS MER
