Particularly, attributes such as conductivity, electron density, high specific surface area, hierarchical pore structure, and oxidation resistance offer a wide range of characteristics for diverse applications. Hydrochars are more carbonized than their precursors. Hydrochars themselves are carbon precursors for preparing activated carbons.
