  1. 1. Fluid Dynamics and Granular Growth in High Shear Wet Granulation

    Författare :Anders Darelius; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Coalescence kernel; Frictional Stress Models; Laser Doppler Anemometry; Population balances; CFD; EFD; High shear granulation; High speed imaging; Multi-dimensional; Multiphase flows;

    Sammanfattning : High shear wet granulation is a key step in the manufacturing of tablets in the pharmaceutical industry. From the pharmaceutical industry’s point of view, there is a desire for predictive quantitative process models to be able to make in-silico process and scale-up simulations, which would shorten and reduce the cost of technology transfer from laboratory scale to manufacturing scale in drug development. 2. 2. Androgen receptors and endocrine disrupting substances

    Författare :Anders Larsson; Per-Erik Olsson; Björn Brunström; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Androgen receptor; Brominated flame retardant; TBECH; Endocrine disruptor; Biology; Biologi; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; Biology; Biologi;

    Sammanfattning : Throughout the animal kingdom, organisms are dependent on substances such as steroid hormones to help them maintain internal balances. Examples of important tasks that are under regulation of steroid hormones are somatic and gonadal development, sexual performance and behavior (both social and sexual) as well as sex differentiation. 3. 3. Analysis and Modelling of Desalination Brines

    Författare :Raed Bashitialshaaer; Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Modelling.; Field data analysis; Negatively buoyant jet; Experiment; Brine discharge; Desalination; Water supply;

    Sammanfattning : Seawater desalination constitutes an important water supply to the population bordering the Arabian Gulf, the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. The three regions represent about 11.8% of the world land area and the countrieshosted approximately 9% of the world population in 1950 and 2008 and are also projected to do so in 2050. LÄS MER
