  2. 7. Distribution and abundance of genetic variation in the arctic fox

    Författare :Love Dalén; Anders Angerbjörn; Robert K. Wayne; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :population genetics; DNA; ecology; population history; gene flow; Alopex lagopus;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates how changes in population size and spatial movements of individuals have shaped the distribution and abundance of neutral genetic variation in the arctic fox. This is done through mitochondrial and microsatellite DNA analyses on samples covering most of the species’ distribution, but with special emphasis on Scandinavia. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Population genetic studies of psoriasis

    Författare :Annica Inerot; Göteborgs universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Psoriasis is a genetically determined, common skin disease affecting about 3 % of the population. The inheritance pattern has earlier been unclear. In collaboration with the Swedish Psoriasis Association, we have collected information on the occurrence of psoriasis in the families of 11,366 members of the Association. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Growth and decline in rural Sweden : geographical distribution of employment and population 1960–2010

  5. 10. Population-level consequences of variation

    Författare :Lena Wennersten; Anders Forsman; Olof Leimar; Deepa Agashe; Linnéuniversitetet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; colour polymorphism; diversity; establishment success; evolutionary changes; population-level consequences; predation risk; Tetrix subulata; variation; Evolutionary Biology; Evolutionsbiologi;

    Sammanfattning : Consequences of within population variation have recently attracted an increased interest in evolutionary ecology research. Theoretical models suggest important population-level consequences, but many of these predictions still remain to be tested. LÄS MER
