    Sammanfattning : The formation of organs during embryonic development is calledorganogenesis. This process is regulated by the genes residing in the genome. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Collagen-binding integrin α2β1 activity in vivo and in vitro : Effects of platelet-derived growth factor-BB

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Karina Åhlén; Uppsala universitet.; [1998]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Biochemistry; Integrin α2β1; PDGF-BB; fibroblast; interstitial fluid pressure; cytoskeletal interaction; phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase; [Ca2 ]i; Biokemi; MEDICINE Chemistry Biochemistry; MEDICIN Kemi Biokemi; Medical and Physiological Chemistry; medicinsk och fysiologisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The expression of integrins by two cell clones from a rat colon carcinoma was investigated. Cloned cells that gave rise to regressive tumors, but not cells that gave rise to progressive, lethal, tumors, adhered to interstitial collagens through the integrin α2β1, although both cell types expressed it. Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Författare :Sigrídur Valgeirsdóttir; Uppsala universitet.; [1998]

    Sammanfattning : Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), a potent mitogen for mesenchymal cells, elicits its effects by binding to cell surface tyrosine kinase receptors, denoted α- and β-receptors. This thesis describes the mechanism of interaction between stimulated PDGF receptors and various intracellular molecules. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Tissue Factor Biological Functions Coagulation Activity in Microparticles and Signaling with Focus On Migration and Apoptosis

    Detta är en avhandling från Uppsala : Universitetsbiblioteket

    Författare :Mikael Åberg; Uppsala universitet.; [2008]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Tissue factor; Apoptosis; Migration; Chemotaxis; Simvastatin; Platelet Derived Growth Factor; Cell Signaling; Microparticles; Prostasomes; Trombosis; Coagulation; Prostate Cancer; Breast Cancer; Caspase-3; Caspase-8; NFkappaB; PAR2; Transactivation; Monocytes; MEDICINE Chemistry Clinical chemistry; MEDICIN Kemi Klinisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Tissue factor (TF) is a 47 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein known as the main initiator of blood coagulation. TF is over-expressed on many malignant cells and apart from increasing the risk of thrombosis, the presence of TF/FVIIa also promotes the progression of cancer and metastasis by intracellular signaling.
