  1. 11. Plant Aquaporins: A study of expression, localization, specificity, and regulation

    Författare :Sara Sjövall Larsen; Biokemi och Strukturbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Växtbiokemi; Plant biochemistry; phosphorylation; protein kinase; overexpression; NIP; MIP; plant; aquaporin;

    Sammanfattning : Aquaporins, or Major Intrinsic Proteins (MIPs), are integral proteins that facilitate transport of water and other small neutral solutes across biological membranes. They belong to a well conserved and ancient family of proteins, present in all organisms ranging from bacteria to plants and humans. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Verticillium longisporum and plant immunity responses in Arabidopsis

    Författare :Jonas Roos; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Nyckelord :LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Verticillium spp. are soil-borne ascomycete fungi belonging to a subgroup of Sordariomycetes, and the three major plant pathogens Verticillium longisporum, V. dahliae and V. albo-atrum cause disease on numerous plant species worldwide. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Plant major intrinsic proteins - functional implications of expression and localisation studies

    Författare :Laure Fraysse; Biokemi och Strukturbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Plant biochemistry; immunolabelling; microarray; plasma membrane; aquaporins; plant; water; Växtbiokemi;

    Sammanfattning : Plant water channels are members of the very old Major Intrinsic Protein (MIP) family, with representatives in bacteria, fungi, animals, and plants. The genome of the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana contains 35 MIP genes. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Plant-climate interactions over historical and geological time

    Författare :Sharon A Cowling; Biologiska institutionen; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; atmospheric CO2; plant evolution; palaeoecology; plant-climate interactions; vegetation modelling; Plant ecology; Växtekologi;

    Sammanfattning : Data-model comparisons are a useful approach to elucidating the relative influence of past climate change on vegetation dynamics over various spatial global, regional, stand) and temporal (historical, geological) scales. Comparisons between changes in tree species abundance reconstructed from pollen and simulated from a forest gap model, for example, indicate that based solely on climate change over the past 1500 years, southern Scandinavian forests should be co-dominated by Tilia and Fagus. 5. 15. Linking plant population dynamics to the local environment and forest succession

    Författare :Johan Petter Dahlgren; Johan Ehrlén; Ove Eriksson; Mark Rees; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Actaea spicata; Forest herbs; Forest succession; Integral projection model; Plant demography; Plant phenology; Population dynamics; Pre-dispersal seed predation; Seed mass; Soil potassium; Specific leaf area; Terrestrial ecology; Terrestisk ekologi; Plant Ecology; växtekologi;

    Sammanfattning : Linking environmental variation to population dynamics is necessary to understand and predict how the environment influences species abundances and distributions. I used demographic, environmental and trait data of forest herbs to study effects of spatial variation in environmental factors on populations as well as environmental change in terms of effects of forest succession on field layer plants.
