1. Gränser i livet - gränser i landskapet : Generationsrelationer och rituella praktiker i södermanländska bronsålderslandskap
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with issues relating to the cosmological dimensions of landscapes, the cultural construction of age and the long-term changes in passage rituals and mortuary practices in the Bronze Age societies of Södermanland in East Central Sweden. A gender perspective forms the underlying theoretical framework, while the study as a whole is particularly interested in power relations between generations as an impetus for societal change. 2. Slot Array Antennas at V-band based on Inverted Microstrip Gap Waveguide
Sammanfattning : Recently, gap waveguide technology is introduced as a proper guiding structure for millimeter-systems. The conception of gap waveguide technology can be modeled for theoretical analysis by two parallel plates, a top perfect electric conductor layer and a bottom perfect magnetic conductor layer. 3. Composite Bridges : Innovative ways of achieving composite action
Sammanfattning : The topic of this thesis is steel-concrete composite bridges and innovative ways of achieving composite action. The typical superstructure consists of three main components: the steel girders, the concrete deck slab and the shear connectors. LÄS MER
4. Dräktnålar och dräktskick i östra Mälardalen : Kontinuitet och förändring under folkvandringstid och vendeltid : [continuity and change in the Migration and Vendel periods]
Sammanfattning : This thesis comprises a study of the two types of dress-pins - the protuberant pin andthe polyhedral pin - that were cast in moulds on Helgö. The compilation of materialwas restricted to Helgö's immediate surroundings, that is, Södermanland and Uppland. The pins are divided into subgroups and variants. LÄS MER
5. Modelling the system Cr-Fe-Ni-Te via the CALPHAD method, DFT and experiments : for fast nuclear reactor applications
Sammanfattning : In the pursuit of safer, more environmentally friendly and sustainable forms of energy production for our ever growing demands, a type of nuclear reactor cooled by liquid metal instead of water is under development. Specific to this type of reactor are special forms of corrosion of the material that encapsulates the fuel pins in the reactor core, called Fuel-Clad Chemical Interaction (FCCI) or Fission Product-induced Liquid Metal Embrittlement (FPLME).
