    Sammanfattning : The study of the physics of self-assembly in low-density condensed matter is an extremely interesting, mostly unexplored field of scientific research. The contribution reported in this thesis explains how this problem can be addressed using molecular dynamics simulation of 3D systems composed by simple, identical particles, interacting via a spherically symmetric pair potential, which belongs to the class of Dzugutov potentials.     Sammanfattning : A new and general procedure is described for a detailed analysis of time-resolved fluorescence depolarisation data in the presence of electronic energy migration. An isotropic ensemble of bifluorophoric molecules (D1-R-D2) has been studied to demonstrate its utility. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Conical Intersections (CIs) in a molecule originate from the breakdown of the Born-Oppenheimer approximation when electronic states come close in energy. Ultrafast non-radiative decay channels open up in the vicinity of a CI, thus funneling a molecule from one electronic state to another. LÄS MER
