  1. 1. The Multifunctional HnRNP A1 Protein in the Regulation of the Cyp2a5 Gene : Connecting Transcriptional and Posttranscriptional Processes

    Författare :Tina Glisovic; Matti Lang; Francoise Raffalli-Mathieu; Lorenz Poellinger; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pharmaceutical biochemistry; Cyp2a5; DNA-protein interaction; gene regulation; hnRNP A1; nucleocytoplasmic shuttling; RNA-protein interaction; RNA stabilization; posttranscriptional; transcriptional; Farmaceutisk biokemi; Pharmaceutical biochemistry; Farmaceutisk biokemi;

    Sammanfattning : The mouse xenobiotic-inducible Cyp2a5 gene is both transcriptionally and posttranscriptionally regulated. One of the most potent Cyp2a5 inducers, the hepatotoxin pyrazole, increases the CYP2A5 mRNA half-life. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The main aim of the thesis was to explore the potential of supercritical fluid (SF) techniques in the field of drug delivery. In particular, the relatively recently developed solution-enhanced dispersion by supercritical fluids (SEDS) technology has been employed in the preparation of particles/powders. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Pharmaceutical cocrystals : formation mechanisms, solubility behaviour and solid-state properties

    Sammanfattning : The enzymes CYP27A1 and CYP7B1 are widely expressed in various human tissues and perform catalytic reactions in cholesterol homeostasis and endocrine signaling. We have investigated the metabolism of a synthetic oxysterol. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The Impact of Substance P (SP) N-Terminal Metabolite SP1-7 in Opioid Tolerance and Withdrawal

    Författare :Qin Zhou; Tsukasa Sakurada; Uppsala universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : The heptapeptide SP1-7, a metabolite of the neuroactive peptide substance P (SP), is suggested to play a role in opioid addiction and memory function. These two dimensions are known to involve dopamine and glutamate transmissions mediated through dopamine receptors and N-methyl-D- aspartate (NNMA) receptors, respectively. LÄS MER
