In Study I, especially distressing events for children/adolescents with cancer were identified by interviews with children/adolescents/parents and nurses. Data were analysed with content analysis. Sammanfattning : This dissertation focuses on children’s experiences of going through an acute radiographic examination due to a suspected fracture. Sammanfattning : The general aim of the thesis is to answer questions on general and differential aspects of perceived exertion and on the measurement of its intensity variation. The propensity to react with shame to situations of transgression is formed early in life, but the processes by which elevated shame-proneness causes higher levels of psychological distress and functional impairment in some people rather than in others is as yet poorly understood.
