  2. 2. Boreal vegetation responses to forestry as reflected in field trial and survey data and the quality of cover estimates and presence/absence in vegetation inventory

    Författare :Johan Bergstedt; Per Milberg; Göran Ståhl; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Boreal forest; cutting intensity; scarification; cover estimates; presence absence; Terrestrial ecology; Terrestisk ekologi;

    Sammanfattning : Den här avhandlingen belyser hur avverkning och markberedning påverkar markfloran i den svenska barrskogen. Dessutom utvärderas två inventeringsmetoder som används inom växtekologin. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Listen. If I ask you to listen, what is it that I ask of you—that you will understand, or perhaps obey? Or is it some sort of readiness that is requested? What occurs with a body in the act of listening? How do sound and voice structure audio-visual-spatial relations in concrete situations?This doctoral thesis in fine arts consists of six artworks and an essay that documents the research process, or rather, acts as a travelogue as it stages and narrates a series of journeys into a predominantly sonic ecology. 4. 4. Learning Challenges Associated with Evidence-Based Practice in Rheumatology

    Författare :Margit Neher; Per Nilsen; Christian Ståhl; Karin Festin; Tine Tjørnhøj-Thomsen; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Rheumatology is a field of practice that is undergoing many changes, leading to growing demand for rheumatology practitioners to keep up-to-date about the research developments in their field and to implement new findings and recommendations into clinical practice. Research within implementation science has shown that there are numerous barriers to the clinical use of research-based knowledge in health care. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Cancer and male reproductive function- the effect on sperm DNA integrity and on birth outcomes in the offspring

    Författare :Olof Ståhl; Malmö Institutionen för kliniska vetenskaper; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; SCSA; birth outcomes; sperm DNA integrity; male cancer; fertility;

    Sammanfattning : Male cancer survivors (MCS) are at risk of suffering from impaired fertility. Male fertility is dependant on sperm DNA quality. The Sperm Chromatin Structure Assay (SCSA) reflects the proportion of sperm with poor DNA, the DNA fragmentation index, DFI. LÄS MER
