6. The clinical perspective on malignancies in renal transplanted patients
Sammanfattning : Post-transplant malignancies cause significant morbidity and mortality. In this thesis we investigated malignancies in renal transplanted patients from a clinical viewpoint. 7. Pressure autoregulation of cerebral blood flow in traumatic brain injury and aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage
Sammanfattning : The ability of the brain to keep a stable and adequate cerebral blood flow (CBF) independently of fluctuations in systemic blood pressure is referred to as cerebral pressure autoregulation (CPA). When the brain is injured by trauma or hemorrhage, this ability may be impaired, leaving the brain vulnerable to events of high or low blood pressure. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : Objectives: To explore the prevalence and structure of self-reported disability after mild traumatic brain injury and the impact of traumatic brain pathology on such outcome.Material and methods: In study 1-3, symptoms data were collected by use of Rivermead Post-concussion Symptoms Questionnaire (RPQ) and data on global function by use of Glasgow Outcome Scale Extended (GOSE) from 2602 patients at 3 months after MTBI. 10. Aspects of Induced Hypothermia following Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation : Cerebral and Cardiovascular Effects
