Målet är att kunna generera ny kunskap om hur jämställdhetsarbetet i gymnasieskolan ska kunna fungera och att elever i gymnasieskolan ska kunna bemötas på ett jämställt sätt, oberoende av kön.     Sammanfattning : One of the big problems of the Swedish nine-year compulsory school is the large number of pupils who fail to achieve a satisfactory standard in mathematics.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to contribute to knowledge about how the work and profession of upper secondary school teachers is understood and shaped by the teachers in the beginning of the 21st century, and to relate that understanding of work and professional development to the strivings of the teachers’ trade unions and the state.
