  1. 1. Present and future precipitation variations in the source region of the Yangtze River, China

    Författare :Yiheng Du; Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Precipitation; water balance; ENSO; PDO; Yangtze River; Tibet Plateau; future projections;

    Sammanfattning : The source region of the Yangtze River (SRYR), the origin of the longest river in China, is an area with high-mountains and river ecotones that face considerable challenges under climate change. Precipitation is fundamental for sustainable ecosystems in this area and for the downstream water supplies. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Model catalysts studied by x-rays, visible and infrared light

    Författare :Stefano Albertin; Synkrotronljusfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; High Energy Surface X-ray Diffraction; X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy; oxidation; Pd 100 ; PdO; Ir 100 ; IrO2; in-situ; operando; Surface Optical Reflectance;

    Sammanfattning : This work is focused on the study of transition metal model catalysts for gas-phase heterogeneous catalysis, studied with light-based in-situ and operando techniques.Metallic model catalysts, such as Palladium (Pd) and Iridium (Ir) single crystals and in minor part deposited Rhodium (Rh), were studied using a combination of x-ray and non x-ray techniques. 4. 4. Surface structure and catalytic activity of Pd and Fe oxide surfaces and thin films

    Författare :Mikhail Shipilin; Synkrotronljusfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Surface X-ray diffraction SXRD ; Heterogeneous catalysis; Pd; PdO; Fe; FeO; Thin films; Fysicumarkivet A:2016:Shipilin;

    Sammanfattning : The present work is devoted to atomic scale structural studies of the surfaces of model heterogeneous catalysts relevant to oxidation reactions. A novel approach using high-energy surface X-ray diffraction combined with mass-spectrometry measurements is employed to perform in situ structural characterization of Pd(100) and Pd(553) single crystal surfaces acting as catalysts in the process of CO oxidation under semirealistic conditions.
