1. Particle Measurements Using Fluctuations in the Regular Transmittance of Light Through a Particle Dispersion : Concentration and Particles size - Theory, Measurement Principles and Applications for Pulp and Paper Production
Sammanfattning : The regular transmittance of light or similar radiation through a flowing suspension of particles fluctuates because of the random occurrence of particles in the beam.In the work presented here, a theory for this fluctuating behaviour with the emphasison dispersions of mm-length slender cylindrical particles having circular crosssections is given. 2. Heat Transfer in Circulating Fluidized Bed Boilers
Sammanfattning : Heat transfer to single particles in the transport zone of circulating fluidized beds and heat transfer to membrane tube walls have been investigated. The heat transfer coefficient to spheres in the transport zone of a circulating fluidized bed boiler has been measured with dark and light calorimeters. LÄS MER
3. Modelling and Experimental Investigations on Thermal Radiation in Combustion Environments
Sammanfattning : Thermal radiation is an important physical phenomenon in combustion environments. For the understanding of existing- and the design of new combustion environments computational modelling is a useful tool as it can describe the different transport phenomena. LÄS MER
4. Radiation in simulations of high intensity laser-matter interaction
Sammanfattning : We consider electromagnetic waves propagating in plasmas, with two main themes covered. First nonlinear plasma theory and wave-wave interaction. Here a wave-wave symmetry, the Manley-Rowe relations, is used as a method of determining the physicality of modified plasma fluid equations. LÄS MER
5. γ-Radiation Induced Synthesis of Metal oxides : Control of Particle Size, Composition, and Morphology
Sammanfattning : Nanomaterials show a significant difference in chemical, mechanical, electronic, magnetic and optical properties compared with bulk counterparts. The synthesis is a key-step to achieve the unique properties of nanomaterials. LÄS MER
