23. (Photo)electrochemical Water Oxidation: From Catalysis to Functional Device
Sammanfattning : The key challenge within artificial photosynthesis is achieving efficient electro- or photo-driven water oxidation catalysis, a necessary process to supply the protons for the reduction reactions, thereby enabling solar fuel production. To facilitate efficient water (photo)electrolysis for solar fuel production, this thesis focuses on two aspects: 1) elucidating the O-O bond formation mechanism and developing efficient, stable, and economical water oxidation catalysts (WOCs); 2) exploring stable, low-cost, light-absorbing photoanode materials that have suitable band structures and excellent charge diffusion properties. 24. An X-ray Spectroscopic Study of Perovskites Oxides and Halides for Emerging Devices
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the electronic structures on several perovskite oxide and halide materials with a focus on light harvesting applications. The systematic study of the electronic properties of the transition metal oxides and post-transition metal halides is a key point if one is to understand their properties. LÄS MER
25. Bandgap Engineering of Lead-Free Halide Double Perovskites
Sammanfattning : Lead-free halide double perovskites (HDPs, A2BIBIIIX6) with attractive optical and electronic features are regarded as one of the most promising alternatives to overcome the toxicity and stability issues of lead halide perovskites. They provide a wide range of possible combinations and rich substitutional chemistry with interesting properties for various optoelectronic devices. LÄS MER
