11. Problem-based learning in the rehabilitation of patients with coronary artery disease
Sammanfattning : Background and aims: A well-informed patient is a prerequisite for adherence to lifestyle changes and drug treatments, which improve prognosis of CAD. Problem-based learning (PBL) is in line with principles of adult learning. The aim was to develop and evaluate a PBL rehabilitation programme for coronary artery disease (CAD) patients. LÄS MER
12. Developing a Problem Based Learning model for Internet-based teaching in academic oral health education
Sammanfattning : Problem Based Learning (PBL) has been fully or partly adopted by several medical and dental schools throughout the world, but only few attempts have been made to adjust this method to Distance Learning (DL) environments. It appears that the interaction demands of PBL could not be easily facilitated by the technologies used for DL in the past. LÄS MER
13. The effect of virus on the cytotoxic effector function of normal human lymphocytes
Sammanfattning : The cytotoxic effect of human peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) from healthy donors against mumps virus infected cells was studied by 5lCR-release assay. With several different cell fractionation techniques the effector cells were demonstrated to be undistinguishable from the lymphocytes responsible for antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC, K-cells) and from those responsible for natural cytotoxicity (NK cells). 14. High value at low cost : Methods for supply chain efficiency
Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with four areas of research: Economic lot scheduling problems (ELSP), Order quantities in a production line, Economic remanufacturing problems, and Performance-based logistics (PBL).The overall purpose of this thesis is to explore and develop methods to increase efficiency insupply chains. 15. In vitro studies of natural and tumor-associated immunity in patients with transitional cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder
Sammanfattning : Peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) from patients with transitional cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder (TCC-bladder) were studied using a SlCr-release assay for their in vitro cytotoxicity against a panel of allogeneic tissue culture cell lines of TCC-bladder and other origins. Control PBL were obtained from four different groups of donors. LÄS MER
