  1. 1. Portraits of PBL : A cross-faculty comparison of student's experiences

    Författare :Madeleine Abrandt Dahlgren; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : The aims of the present investigation were to describe and analyse aspects of students' experiences of PBL within three different academic contexts, computer engineering, psychology and physiotherapy. The idea of PBL as an educational approach comprises certain key features that are described in the literature as general and important for student learning. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Daily life experiences, symptoms and well being in women with coeliac disease : A patient education intervention

    Författare :Lisa Ring Jacobsson; Maria Friedrichsen; Claes Hallert; Anna Milberg; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Chronic disease; illness experience; phenomenology; well‐being; Patient education; PBL;

    Sammanfattning : Background and aims: Despite living with a gluten-free diet (GFD) Swedish women with coeliac disease (CD) report a lower level of well-being than women without the disease and than men with the disease. The aims of this thesis were to describe the life experience of being a woman living with CD (I) and to assess the effects of patient education (PE) with problem based learning (PBL) on psychological well-being (II) and gastrointestinal symptoms (III). 3. 3. Perspectives on living with coeliac disease in remission : Daily life experiences, symptoms and well-being

    Författare :Lisa Ring Jacobsson; Maria Friedrichsen; Claes Hallert; Anna Milberg; Katarina Hjelm; Ella Danielsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Chronic disease; illness experience; patient education; PBL; phenomenology; residual discomfort; well-being.;

    Sammanfattning : Background and aims: Despite living with a gluten-free diet (GFD) Swedish women with coeliac disease (CD) report a lower level of well-being than women without the disease and men with the disease. The all-embracing aim of the thesis was to study experiences of living with coeliac disease in remission and to discover whether a patient education intervention can influence the perceived health and daily life of women with coeliac disease. 4. 4. Exploring the dual nature of engineering education : Opportunities and challenges in integrating the academic and professional aspects in the curriculum

    Författare :Kristina Edström; Anette Kolmos; Frederik V. Christiansen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; engineering education; professional education; dual nature; engineering education development; CDIO Initiative; CDIO approach; CDIO Standards; PBL; engineering education research; Carl Richard Söderberg; organisational gravity; institutional logics; Teknik och lärande; Technology and Learning;

    Sammanfattning : Engineering education is both academic, emphasising theory in a range of subjects, and professional, preparing students for engineering practice. Ideally, these aspects are also in a meaningful relationship in the curriculum, but the dual nature ideal is simultaneously a source of tensions. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Numerical Computations of Wakes Behind Wind Farms : A tool to study Farm to Farm interaction

    Författare :Ola Eriksson; Stefan Ivanell; Anna Rutgersson; Simon-Philippe Breton; Philippe Chatelain; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; Wind turbine; Wind power; Wind farm; Wakes; Long distance wakes; Farm-Farm; Farm to farm interaction; Wind farm cluster; Large Eddy simulations; LES; Actuator disc method; ACD; CFD; Ellipsys3D; Prescribed boundary layer; PBL; Forced boundary layer; FBL; Meteorologi; Meteorology;

    Sammanfattning : More and larger wind farms are planned offshore. As the most suitable sites to build are limited these new wind farms will be constructed near to each other in so called wind farm clusters. Behind the wind turbines in these farms there is a disrupted flow of air called a wake that is characterized by reduced wind speed and increased turbulence. LÄS MER
