  1. 1. On the combustion and photolytic degradation products of some brominated flame retardants

    Författare :Gunilla Söderström; Stellan Marklund; Mats Tysklind; Kees Olie; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Environmental chemistry; PBCDD; PBCDF; PBDD; PBDF; PBDE; HBCD; TBBP-A; combustion; photolytic; MSW; Miljökemi; Environmental chemistry; Miljökemi;

    Sammanfattning : Many modern products, especially electronic goods, are protected by brominated flame retardants (BFR). Some of the most common flame retardants are polybrominated diphenylethers (PBDE), tetrabromobisphenol-A (TBBP-A) and hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD). LÄS MER

  2. 2. Mercury and dioxins in a MercOx-scrubber

    Författare :Carl-Johan Löthgren; Bert Allard; Bert van Bavel; Sven Andersson; Ivars Neretnieks; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; waste incineration; flue gas cleaning; PCDD PCDF; PBDD PBDF; wet scrubber; Chemistry; Kemi; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : The removal of mercury and the absorption of dioxins in an acid wet scrubber have been studied in industrial scale. Hydrogen peroxide is added as an oxidizing agent to the scrubber liquid with the purpose to remove SO2 and enhance the removal of mercury. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Polybrominated dibenzo-p-dioxins : Natural formation mechanisms and biota retention, maternal transfer, and effects

    Författare :Kristina Arnoldsson; Peter Haglund; Patrik Andersson; Walter Vetter; Umeå universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Polybrominated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PBDD) and dibenzofurans (PBDF) are a group of compounds of emerging interest as potential environmental stressors. Their structures as well as toxic responses are similar to the highly characterized toxicants polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins. LÄS MER
