    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Polymer electrolyte fuel cells; PEMFC; AEMFC; bipolar plates; corrosion; poly arylene piperidinium ; ionomer; electrode structure; silver nanoparticles; oxygen reduction reaction; Polymerelektrolytbränsleceller; PEMFC; AEMFC; bipolära plattor; korrosion; poly arylenpiperidinium ; jonomer; elektrodstruktur; silvernanopartiklar; syrgasreduktionsreaktion; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Polymer electrolyte fuel cells occupy a key position in implementing the hydrogen economy on a global scale. However, assessments of cost, availability and sustainability of materials currently used to manufacture state-of-the-art fuel cell stacks have given cause for concern. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Water Supply in Tanzania and Performance of Local Plant Materials in Purification of Turbid Water

    Författare :Nancy Marobhe; Gunno Renman; Gunnar Jacks; Msafiri Jackson; Tapio Katko; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Antibacterial effect; Coagulant proteins; Vigna unguiculata; Parkinsonia aculeata; Ion exchange; Tanzania water supply; Water engineering; Vattenteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Water supply services in urban and rural areas of Tanzania were reviewed and specific studies were carried out on water supply and on purification of turbid water sources using locally available plant materials in rural villages of Singida Rural District. The review showed that large proportions of urban and rural populations in Tanzania face acute water supply problems mainly due to poor planning, implementation and management of water supply projects, including an inability to address social, technical, operation and maintenance and financial issues. 4. 24. Women’s encounters with biomedical technology in the realm of cervical cancer screening

    Författare :Anette Forss; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : As a form of biomedical technology, the Papanicolaou (Pap) smear has been described as the most widely used and established cane er- screening tool in the world. In Sweden, Pap smear technology triggered what is today an established secondary preventive intervention directed towards 'healthy' women to detect those at risk for developing cervical cancer, a potentially fatal disease, as well as those with the disease. 5. 25. Prescribed physical activity. A health economic analysis

    Författare :Åsa Romé; Människan i rörelse: hälsa och rehabilitering; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; physical activity; inactivity; costs; cost-effectiveness; quality of life; exercise referral; QALY; willingness to pay.;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to estimate health economic consequences of the four-month primary care program ”Physical Activity on Prescription (PAP)”. Inactivity means a highly increased independent risk factor for public health diseases and morbidity, and is an economic burden to society. LÄS MER
