  1. 16. Från inbjudan till uppföljning : kvinnors erfarenheter av att delta eller inte delta i cervixcancerscreening

    Författare :Karin Blomberg; Carol Tishelman; Britt-Marie Ternestedt; Catarina Widmark; Barbro Wijma; Örebro universitet; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Vårdvetenskap; Nursing Science; Cervical cancer; Pap smear; cervical cancer screening; prevention; non-attendance; body; women; young adult; transition; health; online focus groups;

    Sammanfattning : Population-based cervical cancer screening programs (PCCSPs) were introduced in Stockholm in the 1960s; today all women residents aged 23-60 are invited to a cost-free Pap smear at regular intervals. A shift in scientific knowledge has occurred, with clarification of the link between human papilloma virus (HPV) and cervical cancer (CC), and the introduction of HPV-vaccines for primary prevention of CC. Sammanfattning : Osteoclasts are derived from hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and form upon stimulation of osteoclast precursors by macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) and receptor activator of nuclear factor κΒ ligand (RANKL). Osteoclasts resorb bone by secreting hydrochloric acid, matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and cathepsin K. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Expression and post-translational modification of purple acid phosphatase in insect and mammalian cells

    Författare :Yunling Wang; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Purple acid phosphatase (PAP) is an acidic metallohydrolase that contain a binuclear iron center in its active site. In mammals, this enzyme is also referred to as tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAPs), uteroferrin or type 5 acid phosphatase. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Regulation of tartrate-resistant purple acid phosphatase by proteolytic processing in rat

    Författare :Jenny Ljusberg-Sjölander; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :Purple acid phosphatase; enzyme catalysis; proteolytic processing;

    Sammanfattning : Purple acid phosphatase (PAP) is an iron-containing binuclear acid metallohydrolase with a characteristic purple colour, also referred to as tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP), uteroferrin or type 5 acid phosphatase. PAP is highly expressed in osteoclasts and has a role in bone resorption. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Background: The Swedish PAP (physical activity on prescription) programme FaR®, introduced in 2001, has been adopted by all Swedish regions, which are responsible for provision of healthcare in Sweden. Several studies have shown positive outcomes of the Swedish PAP on patients’ physical activity and other health-related outcomes. LÄS MER
