    Sammanfattning : Many bacteria utilize hairlike protein appendages (pili) to attach themselves to mucosal cell surfaces in the host organism.     Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to study risk factors for disability pension, focusing on sociodemographic risk factors and sick-leave diagnoses, and also to investigate the risk of mortality among disability pension recipients.
