16. Additive-Driven Improvements in Interfacial Properties and Processing of TMP-Polymer Composites
Sammanfattning : Efforts to address environmental concerns have resulted in new regulations designed to plan the reduction of plastic and synthetic polymer usage, necessitating the search for sustainable natural alternatives with comparable cost-effectiveness and mechanical performance. Thermomechanical pulp (TMP) fibres are one of the most affordable natural fibres that have no chemical refining in production, production have a high yield of 90-98% and TMP fibres have been demonstrated to improve the mechanical characteristics (strength, stiffness and toughness) of wood-polymer composites (WPCs) compared to the pure polymer. 17. Self-doped Conjugated Polyelectrolytes for Bioelectronics Applications
Sammanfattning : Self-doped conjugated polyelectrolytes (CPEs) are a class of conducting polymers constituted of a π-conjugated backbone and charged side groups. The ionic groups provide the counterions needed to balance the charged species formed in the CPEs backbones upon oxidation. LÄS MER
18. Influence of deformation and environmental degradation of Inconel 792
Sammanfattning : Industrial gas turbines are often used as a mechanical drive for pumps and compressors or in power generation as an electric power supply. The gas turbine has for many years been a popular engine due to its flexibility with respect to different types of fuel and due to a design, that enables a high power-to-weight ratio. LÄS MER
19. Surface tension-driven flow in soft porous materials — An investigation of the mechanism of capillary flow in microchannels of hydrogels
Sammanfattning : Spontaneous spreading of liquids in porous materials is of great industrial relevance and occurs in, for example, diapers, fabrics, paper or paint. Often, it is necessary to manipulate the spreading rate of liquids to result in the desired mass transport, for example to soak up large liquid volumes, as in a diaper. LÄS MER
20. Interaction Between Graphene Derivatives and Asphaltenes in Crude Oil and Crude Derivatives
Sammanfattning : The chemistry of crude oil (SARA) and crude derivatives, and the percentage of asphaltene can vary significantly depending on external and internal factors such as the source and method of SARA extraction. If graphitic materials are introduced into a system such as SARA, it becomes an additional variable to a complex multi-phase colloid. LÄS MER
