1. Röster från ingenmansland : En identitetsarkeologi i ett maritimt mellanrum
Sammanfattning : Archaeological investigations into late iron age and medieval coastal societies in Sweden have been focusing on a maritime culture, a traditional coastal and island-dwelling fisher-farmer and activities centered on fishing in a long maritime tradition as well as a specific maritime identity and habitus. By deconstructing commonly used concepts and by using primarily written sources, it is here shown that there is a need for putting this culture and its agents into perspective by opening up the history of the maritime interspace and let in previously overlooked or disregarded historical actors in the narrative field dominated by men and landed farmers, such as landless, powerless, strangers, foreigners and women. 3. Företagande i minoritet : om etnicitet, strategier och resurser bland assyrier och syrianer i Södertälje
Sammanfattning : This study deals with how Assyrian and Syrian entrepreneurs in Södertälje relate to those around them both within and outside the ethnic community. It is based on conversational interviews conducted between 1992 and 1996 with thirty male and five female entrepreneurs as well as on participatory observation in the summer and autumn of 1994. Sammanfattning : This dissertation examines artistic translations of constructivism by the Brazilian artists Geraldo de Barros (1923-1998), Lygia Pape (1927-2004) and Lygia Clark (1920-1988) using the theoretical perspectives of anthropophagy and biopolitics. Previous research has addressed artworks of Brazilian constructivism, a movement which over the last few decades has been canonised as part of a multiple, global modernism. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : The primary purpose of the present study is to analyse the aesthetics, theory and practice of Los Volatineros, an independent theatre group, in the socio-political and cultural context of Buenos Aires in 1976-1989.
