  1. 16. Magmatic and hydrothermal processes in relation to the formation of the Aitik Cu-Au deposit, Northern Sweden

    Författare :Christina Wanhainen; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Sammanfattning : Aitik is a disseminated Cu-Au deposit with an annual production of 18 million metric tons of ore containing 0.38 percent copper and 0.22 parts per million gold. It is situated in northern Sweden in 1. LÄS MER

  2. 17. The origin of the Ryllshyttan stratabound Zn-Pb-Ag-(Cu) + magnetite deposit, Garpenberg, Bergslagen, Sweden

    Författare :Nils Jansson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Sammanfattning : Ryllshyttan is a Palaeoproterozoic lower amphibolite-facies poly-metamorphosed stratabound Zn-Pb-Ag-(Cu) + magnetite deposit. It is located in the Garpenberg inlier of the Bergslagen mining district of southern Sweden and produced ~ 1 Mt sulphide ore and ~ 0.4 Mt magnetite ore from the early 16th century until 1944. 3. 18. Utilizing a tectonic framework to constrain the mineral system and remobilization in the Kiruna mining district, Sweden

    Författare :Leslie Logan; Tobias E. Bauer; Fernando Tornos; Olof Martinsson; Paul Evins; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Kiruna; tectonic framework; mineral system; IOCG; IOA; remobilization; sulfur isotopes; trace elements; geochronology; Pahtohavare; Viscaria; Rakkurijärvi; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Sammanfattning : The Kiruna mining district, located in the northern Norrbotten ore province, Sweden, is a geologically and economically important area, being the type-locality for Kiruna iron oxide-apatite (IOA) deposits and also host to a variety of other deposits including syngenetic stratiform exhalative Cu-(Fe-Zn) (Viscaria, Eastern Pahtohavare), epigenetic stratabound Cu ± Au (Pahtohavare), and iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG, Rakkurijärvi) deposits. However, the timing of IOA versus IOCG within the tectonic evolution is in question based on structural investigations showing Cu- and Fe-sulfides occur in late-orogenic structures. LÄS MER

  4. 19. The origin of iron ores in Bergslagen, Sweden, and their relationships with polymetallic sulphide ores

    Författare :Nils Jansson; Paul Spry; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Sammanfattning : The Bergslagen mining district of southern Sweden is one of Europe’s classic mining districts with more than 1 000 years of mining history. One of the typical features of Bergslagen is a spatial association between Zn-Pb-Ag-(Cu-Au) sulphide deposits and magnetite-rich Fe oxide deposits. LÄS MER

  5. 20. The nature of gold in the Aitik Cu-Au deposit : implications for mineral processing and mine planning

    Författare :Monika Sammelin; Andreas Fredriksson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Malmgeologi; Ore Geology;

    Sammanfattning : The Aitik mine is a large Cu-Au producer in Europe with an annual production of 28 million tons of ore and a planned expansion of production to 36 million tons of ore until year 2013. Large ongoing investments are done in the mine and a new processing plant is built to manage the capacity increase. LÄS MER
